Hala H. Al-Hashim
PhD Student
"Currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Dammam, Saudi Arabia"
Introduction
Hala Al Hashim joined KAUST university in 2011 as a PhD student. Prior to that, she earned her master degree from Faisal University in 2007. Working in Dammam University as an instructor for more than 10 years has given her vast and beneficial experience in developing laboratories alongside teaching.
Searching to improve lightening source is a major topic in her PhD thesis, and therefore being part of the integrated photonics laboratory in KAUST University has given her a good opportunity to achieve her goals. Her knowledge and interest also lies in solid state physics, ever since she started her master thesis in superconducting materials, then progressing on as a specialist in semiconductor material and solid state lightining.
She is an active member of a design program catered towards talented student people, and participates as a judge for a committee in selecting talented individuals.
